Sunday Worship at 10:31a.m. ("...what ever you do, do it for the glory of God!")

An informal, come-as-you-are worship service with a family-life related message. A Biblically-based, Christ-centered, culturally-relevant service that combines modern worship with Lutheran liturgy.

Kids are dismissed halfway through to an optional Children’s Church that has an age-appropriate lesson.

Every last Sunday of the month (starting in October) is Family Service Sunday which is a active, upbeat, Inter-Generational service designed around the whole family.

Holy Communion  (The Lord’s Supper)

Worship at Ascension includes a celebration of Holy Communion at each service. We believe that Holy Communion is a special gift of God for our benefit. As a commitment to Biblical integrity, communion is

reserved for:

  • baptized Christians; (Acts 2: 37,38)
  • those who recognize and confess their sins; (Prov. 28:13; 1 John 1:8)
  • those who believe the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ is offered under forms of bread and wine; (1 Corinthians 10: 16; 1 Corinthians 11:27)
  • those who accept Jesus’ words: “given and shed for you for the forgiveness of sins” (Matthew 26:28).

All who share these Biblical beliefs are encouraged to participate. (Non-alcoholic wine and gluten free bread are available for those with special needs.)
