“What a wonderful God we have – he is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of every mercy, and the one who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials… So that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass onto them this same help and comfort.” – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
The members of Ascension Lutheran Church and School are called by God to be ambassadors of His love and mercy. We understand that there are times when difficulties come our way and we need love and support to get through those tough times. Please contact us when the need arises. We will share with you from the abundance of what God has shared with us.
Hospital Visitation: Volunteers are assigned to visit members and guests who are hospitalized at one of the local hospitals or rehabilitation centers. Visitors offer a word of prayer and encouragement as well as making sure they are on the prayer list. To learn more, contact the church office by (EMAIL) or at (520) 297.3095.
Homebound Ministry: They are times in life when our health prevents us from getting out of our homes. We have individuals who are willing to come to your home to meet with you and share God’s Word and the Sacrament of Holy Communion to strengthen you in life’s journey.
Mercy Ministry and Mercy Fund: Being a community means caring for one another. Life happens and sometimes help is needed. The Immediate Needs Assistance Ministry provides limited, temporary assistance to those facing financial burdens (rent, electric, gas, fuel, and food.)
