Opportunities to Get Connected
Acolytes: Any age can acolyte. Training is provided and you will be surprised how “involved” you feel in the worship experience as you light candles and assist with Communion in the worship service of your choice. Adults are especially needed during our 9:30a.m. service.
Altar Guild: Assist worship by preparing Communion elements as well as maintaining the candles and other altar accessories. Needed for Sat. 5p.m., Sun. 8a.m., & Sun. 11a.m. and periodically some weekday tasks.
Worship Planning: A small group that meets regularly to discuss ways of enhancing the sermon series.
Drama: See Music & Arts
Lectors: Read the first scripture in the order of service. They may also be called upon to read other portions of the liturgy. Lectors need to be familiar with their passage and comfortable proclaiming the Word in front of the congregation.
Ushers: These men and women distribute bulletins before each service, take an official attendance count, and pass the offering plates. They also usher people to Communion.
Adult Choir: See Music & Arts
Handbells: See Music & Arts
Worship Technology: See Music & Arts (sound board, slides, video, Media Shout)
