At Ascension Lutheran Church and School we provide organized and regular worship opportunities which give glory to God, build up His people, and receive His Word and Sacraments and also provide tools and resources for personal worship.
Saturday Worship at 5p.m. (Blended) and Sunday Worship at 8:45a.m. (Traditional)
This worship offers Traditional Lutheran liturgy. Most music is from our Lutheran Service Book. The Hymns and liturgy are accompanied by organ.
Sunday Worship at 10:31a.m. ("...what ever you do, do it for the glory of God!")
An informal, come-as-you-are worship service with a family-life related message. A Biblically-based,
Christ-centered, culturally-relevant service that combines modern worship with Lutheran liturgy. Kids
are dismissed halfway through to an optional Children’s Church that has an age-appropriate lesson.
The last Sunday of every month is Family Service Sunday which is a active, upbeat, Inter-Generational
service designed for the whole family.
The Gathering, Sunday at 5p.m.
A new, relaxed, ministry. We gather together in the ROC for a time of food, fellowship, and worship. Most Sundays our meal is pot luck. Bring for yourself and/or something to share. All are welcome, there is always plenty to share. Worship is informal but consists of music, study of the Word, and prayer. (Communion is not served at this service.)
Holy Communion (The Lord’s Supper)
Worship at Ascension includes a celebration of Holy Communion at each service. We believe that Holy Communion is a special gift of God for our benefit. As a commitment to Biblical integrity, communion is reserved for:
All who share these Biblical beliefs are encouraged to participate. (Non-alcoholic wine and gluten free bread are available for those with special needs.)
