Blanket Circle
Blanket Circle meets Tuesdays to sew blankets for people in need in the community and around the globe. This group which has met for over 56 years also crochets prayer shawls for the sick.
Christ Care Groups
Christ Care Groups of 10-15 people meet regularly for Bible study, prayer and worship, and missional service, living out Christ’s love for one another.
J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth)
JOY meets the first Friday of each month in Grace Hall, September through May. Entertainment begins at 11:00am; lunch is served at noon. Members of Ascension are welcome to attend for fun and fellowship.
Youth Groups
Ascension seeks to assist young adults as they grow in their relationship with Jesus, develop lasting friendships with other believers, and serve the Church and community with Christ’s love. High schoolers meet on Mondays. Middle schoolers meet on alternating Wednesdays. For more information, contact GeriLynn Merriam, Youth Director.
Game On
Game On meets every Monday afternoon in Grace Hall to play games, including bridge, dominos, and Skip Bo. Snacks and drinks are provided.
Sunday School/Confirmation
We are passionate about partnering with parents to help children and youth deepen their faith and trust in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Using a Bible based curriculum, our Sunday School and Confirmation classes for ages 3-grade 8 are held Sunday mornings from 9:35-10:20 a.m. during the school year, beginning September 8, 2024.
Adult Bible Studies
Adults meet for Bible study in Grace Hall with Pastor Tom on Sundays at 9:35am, with Pastor Sam on Thursdays at noon, and with Pastor John on Saturdays at 6:00pm. Young Adults also meet offsite for Bible study on Tuesdays at 6:00pm. See the church calendar for updates on all schedules.
Mission Action Teams
From serving food at Gospel Rescue Mission, to building homes at Habitat for Humanity, to distributing dry goods to local food shelves, our teams serve the community with their time and resources.
