Our desire here at Ascension is to get you CONNECTED - to feel loved, accepted, and cared for - to build relationships that get beneath the surface. That kind of relationship won’t come by simply attending worship services. We think there are opportunities for everyone including kids, middle school students, high school students, college and career, singles, women, men, seniors, small groups, and outreach for those who have a heart to reach and serve others. Wherever you are in life, there is a place for you here at Ascension to get PLUGGED IN with a group of people who can get to know you personally, share life with you, and encourage you in your relationship with Jesus Christ. We are excited for you to begin that journey!
Opportunities to Serve
For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another. (Romans 12:4-5)
There are many opportunities for you to get involved and connected here at Ascension. Volunteering is great way to share your time, talent, and treasure with your church family and the community.
Below are listed some of the ways that you can serve the Lord, connect with fellow parishioners, and meet the needs of our growing congregation. If you see something that you believe you would be interested in doing, please contact the MAT Leader using the EMAIL link on each page or you can always contact the church office at 520-297-3095.
Here at Ascension we have MINISTRY ACTION TEAMS (MATs) and each team is part of the main ministries:
Colossians 3:18-4:1; Luke 15:11-32
Ephesians 6:1-4; Luke 18:10-14
Psalm 91; Ephesians 5:22-33
Ephesians 5:12; 15-21; John 14:15-17; 25-27
Ephesians 4:17-32; Mark 7:31-37
Our Mission… what God has called us to do:
• Live by Faith
• Be Known by Love
• Be a voice of Hope
"We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers. We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ."
(1 Thessalonians 1:2-3)
